You'll ensure that the parking lot is closed for parade de-staging only. You'll ensure parade entries have a safe de-staging area where participants can meet up with their families after the parade. 

This is a great opportunity for you to serve with a friend, as there will be a decent amount of down time. But, this is a crucial role to ensure safety!

Be part of the most unique race in town! Help guide runners and their burros along the course, cheer them on, and make sure everyone stays on track. You’ll have the best view of the action!

Kick off the excitement! Help escort runners and their burros from Centennial Park to the starting line at Fifth and Locust, direct the teams where they need to go, and keep the crowd organized. You’ll be in the middle of the pre-race buzz and energy—it’s the perfect spot for big smiles and great memories!

Be the friendly face that helps our vendors! Welcome them as they arrive, guide them to their assigned spots, and lend a hand with setting up their shade canopies. You’ll help set the tone for a smooth, fun, and successful event for everyone.

Start the race day right! Help check in runners and their burros, hand out bibs, keep those long-eared athletes safely contained, and provide directions and information. You’ll be the first point of contact for racers—setting the stage for an unforgettable event!

Wrap up the day like a hero! Help take down tents, put away tables and chairs, collect trash, and give the park a final sweep. It’s a team effort that leaves everything spotless—and the perfect way to close out a great event with pride.
